At the end of his life, David gathers Israel's leaders and then turns personally to his son Solomon—the man who will become king after him. With only so much left to say, what does David believe matters most?

Know the Lord. Serve Him wholeheartedly. And never stop seeking Him.

But David speaks these words while facing an ending he never would have chosen. His dream of building God's temple will belong to someone else. Through David's final words, Senior Pastor Reid Robinette reminds us that disappointment, shattered dreams, and unexpected circumstances don't separate us from the loving presence of God.

And David's story ultimately points beyond himself to Jesus—the One who shed His own blood so that we could be welcomed into God's Kingdom.

📖 Scripture: 1 Chronicles 28:1–10
